SUMMARY:Empowerment Workshop for BIPoC* Students 
DESCRIPTION:For many BIPoC students living in Germany, that means for Black
  students and students of Color, racism is part of everyday life – even 
 at university. Often, we are left alone with this feeling or even worse, t
 hose experiences are denied or not taken seriously. Rarely any university 
 in Germany has official structures where students can turn to when racism 
 happens.\n\n\n\nWith this Empowerment Workshop we want to create a safer s
 pace where we can talk and reflect about racism and empowerment. We will t
 ake a look at how experiencing racism affects our lives as well as underst
 and the effects of structural racism. We also want to reflect strategies w
 e use to deal with racism and talk about community solidarity and support.
  \n\n \n\nThe following questions are leading us through this day\n\n\n\n-
    What is racism and empowerment?\n\n-   How can we develop strategies in
  dealing with racism?\n\n-   What are necessities of self care in our ever
 yday life?\n\n-   What does Community and solidarity mean in the context o
 f racism and empowerment?\n\n\n\n*BIPoC stands for Black, Indigenous and P
 eople of Color which invites students who experience racism in Germany \n\
 n\n\nTrainer: Jinan Dib (she/her) is a sociolinguist and works as a politi
 cal educator, an empowerment and antiracism trainer with both adults and y
