The networking of the Family Representative for Students with the Family Services of the Diversity and Gender Equality Section serves to exchange information about the concrete needs of the target group. These form the basis for planning and implementing suitable measures to further promote the compatibility of studying and family life.

Bavaria-wide survey: Student parents in the Corona pandemic
In the Family Services Newsletter October 2021, we had forwarded the interview call of two master's students from the University of Augsburg to students with child or children. A number of people from this target group responded - thank you very much!
Based on the interviews, the students Asalia Franz and Carina Sraj have developed a questionnaire with which they would like to ask parents studying throughout Bavaria about the compatibility of studies and family during the Corona pandemic.
Below you will find their cover letter and the link to the survey.
"Dear student parents,
Due to the measures taken to contain the Corona pandemic, we have all experienced a disruption in our daily lives. Although the effects of the measures are being looked at by academics, the view of you as student parents has hardly been given any attention in the academic debate.
That is why our master's thesis deals with your assessments of the situation during and before the pandemic. How did you reconcile your studies and your family during this time?
We are interested in students with children born before February 2021.
Link to the survey:https://www.soscisurvey.de/Studium_und_Familie/
The survey takes about 10-15 minutes and can be paused or cancelled at any time. The survey is anonymous and voluntary.
We would be very happy if you would support us in our final project, because every single completed questionnaire is relevant for the study!
Asalia Franz & Carina Sraj"
