The Danube Cup is a pitch competition designed to build an international and sustainable network between universities along the river Danube. Seven universities from four countries take part in the competition, each university is represented by two start-ups. The start-ups KurkuMama and Pionize are competing for the University of Passau.
KurkuMama’s goal is to distribute an instant powder drink, which is based on the Ayurvedic recipe for Golden Milk or Turmeric Latte and has been optimized by an innovative recipe for a quick preparation. All ingredients are grown and processed in an organic quality by a women's agricultural cooperative in Costa Rica. Thus, KurkuMama will not only supply a delicious drink but also support women empowerment in rural areas.
Pionize develops a digital platform that helps with the individual set-up and control of a smarthome system for your home. This way they support finding innovative solutions for smart living.
The two start-ups based in Passau are getting support throughout the whole competition by Helene Schneider, the Start-up Advisor at the Transfer Centre.
The Transfer Centre and the PATEC-team wish them all the best and good luck for the competition.
