SUMMARY:Gender- and diversity-sensitivity in teaching, examination and supervision
DESCRIPTION:An increasingly diverse student body and the growing importance
  of gender and diversity bring new challenges for university lecturers in 
 recent years. What should gender and diversity-sensitive teaching look lik
 e? Which options do I have for adapting content and methods to the differe
 nt needs, talents, and expectations of my students? How can I communicate,
  motivate, inspire and empower in a way that is inclusive and enables part
 icipation?\n\nThis course (Stud.IP number 68924) focuses on two main persp
 ectives of diversity-sensitive teaching: Self-reflection/Awareness and Div
 ersity-sensitive communication in teaching contexts. Participants will lea
 rn about theories of diversity and methods how to apply these into an awar
 e and inclusive yet pragmatic teaching style. The course is designed to en
 able participants to acquire new knowledge and exchange their existing exp
 ertise and experience amongst each other in order to hone their skills and
  further equip their toolbox with inclusive habits and methods for diversi
 ty-sensitive education and communication.
