SUMMARY:Trilateral workshop on academic cybersecurity practice
DESCRIPTION:The "Trilateral Workshop on Academic Cybersecurity Practice" or
 ganised by BAYHOST, Bayrisch-Tschechische Hochschulagentur, Digitalverbund
  Bayern and supported by the Centre for IT Security of the University of P
 assau (https://www.uni-passau.de/en/itsec-centre) will gather representati
 ves from universities in Bavaria, Poland, and Czechia in Passau. The invit
 ed experts will exchange experiences and best practices in IT security man
 agement within higher education institutions. The event will contain an ex
 ecutive briefing providing valuable insights for improving future cybersec
 urity measures. The workshop will feature a roundtable discussion on IT se
 curity governance, focusing on common challenges and potential solutions, 
 as well as opportunities for collaboration between universities to strengt
 hen cybersecurity. Further the participants will delve into future develop
 ments regarding cybersecurity regulations for universities, anticipating u
 pcoming changes and their impact. Additionally, there will be a presentati
 on on expected legal requirements at the European level, providing a glimp
 se into how regulations will evolve and affect academic institutions' cybe
