Current information on the closure of the “FIM Bridge”

The bridge at the Computer Science and Mathematics building has been closed since December because of structural defects.

Due to an increasing number of enquiries regarding the closure, we would like to provide an update on the current situation:

Following a structural integrity assessment, extensive restoration work has been deemed necessary. Additionally, plans include replacing the bridge surface with barrier-free accessibility features.

We cannot yet provide a timetable for when the work will be completed and the bridge reopened. Based on current assessments, however, it is expected that the closure will remain in effect for an extended period.
