At the EW Uni Festival on 25 June, the Innwiese lawn will be transformed into a meeting place for students, university members and anyone fancying a relaxed summer evening with live music. The line-up features bands, ensembles and projects from the university community – spanning rock, pop, jazz and orchestral music.
Performers include Studentenfutter, One Gig Wonder, the Uni Big Band Trio, the University Orchestra, the Ensemble of the Chair of Music Education, 6/8tel, We Will Survive, and Der Schöne und das Biest. There'll be a rich and varied programme, as well as food, drinks and plenty of opportunities to chat.
In the evening, the festivities will move inside, to the Innsteg Auditorium. There, the Ghost Note Orchestra will first get the atmosphere going with soul and funk classics, before the Lower Bavarian Philharmonic provides the musical highlight: Max Richter’s acclaimed reinterpretation of Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” – complemented by joint performances with the musicians of the Ghost Note Orchestra. Orchestral richness and grooving rhythms will come together, creating a special finale to a festival that brings together people, music, and ideas.
We are grateful to all those who have helped make the EW Uni Festival happen: the Festspiele Europäische Wochen team, Landestheater Niederbayern and especially the Cultural Promotions Department of the Student Services Association for supporting and organising the student contributions. We look forward to celebrating with you on Thursday!
