University Library: Opening hours from 18 August

Due to prevailing circumstances, the University Library is forced to reduce its opening hours as of 18 August 2025.

Following a consultation with the University Executive, the University Library has once again modified the new reading-room opening hours to better accommodate the anticipated evening and weekend usage. Below are the new opening hours, effective 18 August – please note that these replace the opening hours announced on 30 July.

Central Library

Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
On public holidays: Closed

Reading room Juridicum

Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Public holidays in 2025: 3 October 2025: closed. 1 November 2025: open
Closed on weekends: From 20 September – 12 October 2025

Reading rooms Nikolakloster and Business Administration & Economics

Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays: Closed

Reading room Computer Science & Mathematics

Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays: Closed

Please note that not only the reading rooms, but the entire buildings are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
