The University Executive and EW director, Dr Carsten Gerhard, will jointly open the festival event at 4 p.m.
The afternoon and evening will leave nothing to be desired with a wealth of live music and performances on the Innwiese lawn, featuring classic rock and indie pop, baroque–techno fusion, folk music, jazz, soul – and great literature. Here are some of the performers and bands that will be taking part: Gigsaw, Kinderzimmer, U3, Barock meets Techno, the team around the Professorship of Medieval German Literature, 6/8tel, the Ghost Note Orchestra and the winner of the German Jazz Award, Matthias Schriefl.
The evening programme in the Innsteg Auditorium will open with by Emil Bach and Hanna Orthuber. Bringing the evening to a close with works by Antonio Vivaldi and Philip Glass will be violin soloist, Christian Scholl, and the Lower Bavarian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Basil H.E. Coleman.
Our thanks go to all participants and especially to the Cultural Promotions Department of the Student Services Association for supporting and organising the student performances. There will be stalls selling food and drink. Admission is free.
We look forward to seeing you there on the day!
