The University and the Festspiele Europäische Wochen (EW) invite you to a festival on 24 June on the Innwiese lawn to celebrate their anniversaries together: 400 years of academic tradition and 70 years of EW. From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., a varied programme co-organised by students and university staff will take place on the open-air stage. The festival will be opened by Professor Christina Hansen, Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity at the University of Passau, and EW Director Dr Carsten Gerhard.
There will be musical and other performances and slam contributions from the International Band, Ocean Jam, U3, the team of the magazine "of Color", the project "United We Create #challengeeurope" of the Student Services Association, Philipp Heidepeter, Delphine Maillard and the Ohrwaschlschinder, among others. The musical finale is a symphony concert in the Innsteg Auditorium: violin soloist Christian Scholl and the Lower Bavarian Philharmonic Orchestra under Basil H.E. Coleman perform Ezio Bosso's Violin Concerto No. 1.
Our thanks go to all participants and especially to the cultural promotions department of the Student Services Association for supporting and organising the student performances.
There will be stalls selling food and drink. Admission is free. We look forward to celebrating with you on the day!
