The Bavarian Education Ministry is setting up welcome groups and tasking them with creating a daily and weekly educational programme that caters to the needs of children and adolescents who have fled Ukraine. This is your chance to get involved as a welcome group volunteer and help children who have fled Ukraine in many different ways, for example by serving as a reference person or language partner, with care and support services or in classes. Preference will be given to students enrolled in teacher education programmes for all types of schools and students from all disciplines.
To learn more about the specific ways you can become involved and the organisational details, please check out the Education Ministry website [German content]. Anyone interested in helping out can report directly to the state's school authority (Staatliches Schulamt) in the city and district of Passau and ask for information. Simply write an email to Irmtraud Ranzinger.
