President Ulrich Bartosch and the University Executive cordially invite all members of the University to the Dies Academicus on 14 November.
To set the tone for the event, a festive concert will take place at 14:30 in the University Church of St Nikola, during which this year's honorary degrees will be awarded and Head of Administration Dr Achim Dilling will be bid farewell.
Afterwards, the head of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, Stephanie Jacobs, will give a welcoming address from 16:00.
The day's highlights will be the presentation of awards and a retrospective of the last academic year, as well as a keynote speech. We are delighted and honoured to welcome Ms Friederike Dahns, Head of Department for Cyber and Information Security at the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), as this year's speaker. She will speak on the topic of Cybersecurity as a common effort – science, state, business and society in the digital age.
Prior registration via our web form is required. We look forward to celebrating the Dies Academicus together with you!
