Global Trends of Data and Data Protection Law
This event is the second in a presentation series on „Data Protection Rules (in) The World“ and will be followed by a discussion on the matter.
Data has become a vital resource of today’s global economy – and, thereby, Data and Data Protection Law eminent fields of law framing (and guarding) different kinds of data processing. Especially, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation has set a global benchmark – and has been a source of legislative inspiration in many countries. The talk evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of this process – and discusses potential ways forward in the 21st century.
