The daily commitment of teachers, students and staff at the University of Passau is the source of quality in teaching and learning. Our common goal as a university is to create the ideal conditions for effective teaching and study organisation and to prepare students in the best possible way for their professional and personal future.
Section I/1 - Quality Development at the University of Passau coordinates the overarching process of "Degree programme quality assurance" and supports all stakeholders in the (further) development of degree programmes in line with European, country-specific and internal quality objectives in university teaching. Quality assurance concerns all dimensions of the degree programmes and takes place in cooperation with students, lecturers, programme convenors, departments, the University Women's Representative, the committees and the University Executive.
The Coordination of Degree Programme Development (KSE) is responsible for processes relating to the development, modification and closure of degree programmes, while the Coordination of System Accreditation (KSA) is responsible for internal accreditation processes. Regular surveys and evaluations are essential components of quality assurance and are coordinated by the Survey Coordination Office and the faculties.
In order to ensure the continuous improvement of the systems that guarantee these conditions, the quality cycles of the faculties are interlinked with those at central level in our quality management system. In this way, we guarantee high-quality procedures for programme development, internal accreditation and regular surveys of our students.
Current resolutions of the Accreditation Committee are available on the subpage.
