Research institutions
The University's institutes and facilities conduct highly successful research and knowledge transfer projects. They are engaged in strong international research partnerships with non-university research infrastructures, private-sector businesses, and a wide range of organisations such as schools, hospitals, museums and state archives. In this way, and particularly through their cooperation with regional business enterprises, they contribute significantly towards making university research accessible and applicable to society at large.
