“May is Advice Month” with different free information events hosted by the Student Services Association of Lower Bavaria/Upper Palatinate (STWNO)

From mid-May onwards, the Welfare Office of the Student Services Association will be offering several free events for University of Passau students. Now’s the time to add these dates to your calendar:

On Wednesday, 21 May 2025, at 17:00, the support centre will be holding the online webinar “Studienfinanzierung (außerhalb BAföG)” [in German] via Zoom. This lecture will highlight various options for financing one’s studies. It will also cover essential information on loans, scholarships, part-time employment, welfare benefits, maintenance payments, hardship assistance and debt advice.

All (expecting) student parents are warmly invited to the online information session “Studieren mit Kind in Passau“ via Zoom on Thursday, 22 May 2025 at 10:00 [in German]. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the Welfare Office of the Student Services Association, the “pro familia” counselling centre in Passau, and the University of Passau’s short-term childcare service. The lecture will conclude with time for questions and an opportunity to connect with other student parents.

On Monday, 26 May 2025, from 18:00 to 20:00, University of Passau students are invited to learn about scholarships and meet with scholarship recipients. The scholarship information event [in German] will be taking place in the Audimax Building (lecture theatre 10, Innstr. 31) and in the Audimax foyer.
