Since the classes are designed to be quite open, participants can also take part in just one of the two sessions per week, for example. However, if you would like to receive a certificate of attendance, we recommend that you attend classes regularly. If you would like the certificate of attendance, please contact the Language Centre at the end of the course. If you are unavailable at the time and day of your preferred course, please let us know so we can find a solution (you can mark this option in the registration form linked below).
The German courses are free of charge. Please contact us if your spouse is interested in taking part in the German courses too. They will have to to fill out the form Registration German Classes SS24_Spouse, so they can receive a user name to access the course on Stud-IP.
Please let us know if you have children and need childcare during the German course. We will try to work with the University's family department to make this possible.
To register, please fill out the form Registration German Classes SS24 and send it to Samantha Pallack (samantha.pallack@uni-passau.de), Cc at researchmobility@uni-passau.de, by 15 April.
In case of questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Dear international academics,
Join us on a daytrip to this Year’s European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl! Bad Ischl and the Salzkammergut region it was chosen for as thee 2024 European Capital of Culture (together with Tartu in Estonia and Bodø in Norway). We would like to take advantage of this great designation and opportunity and go on a daytrip with you.
On Saturday, 4 May, we will start at 8:00 at the car park in front of the ITZ building (Innstraße 43). After a two-hour bus journey, we will start with a short (family-friendly) hike around the beautiful Langbathseen lakes. After the hike, there will be the opportunity to have lunch together in Bad Ischl. We have already made a reservation at the Attwenger restaurant for the outside terrace. When registering for this event, please let us know if you would like to join us for lunch at the restaurant so that we can finalise the reservation. In the afternoon you can then take advantage of Bad Ischl’s current cultural programme as part of the European Capital of Culture. Many of the exhibitions and performances can be viewed free of charge. The European Capital of Culture deals with important topics within the region, Europe and the entire world, creating new pathways to the future, displaying the diversity in historically rooted and contemporary art and culture and connecting region internationally In addition to the Capital of Culture programme, Bad Ischl has a lot to offer with its imperial past and its beautiful location between rivers and mountains. We expect to be back in Passau at around 20:00
