The successful applicant will be funded for a short-term research stay of two months in 2025. The funding period will be arranged individually by the applicant. The fellow will propose and undertake their own research project related to the economics and governance of the bioeconomy under the supervision of the research group leader Dr. Terese Venus and in collaboration with the ReValueD project team. Upon acceptance of the fellowship, it is expected that the fellow will write at least one manuscript for peer-reviewed publication in collaboration with the ReValueD team. This manuscript will be based on the research conducted during the fellowship period and contribute to the scientific literature on the circular bioeconomy. The fellow will conduct research and engage in the research and academic activities of the research group, e.g. by holding a lecture, talk or workshop at least once during their time in Passau. The current call invites applications for the year 2025. The application deadline is Sunday, 15th June 2025.
The fellowship invites economics researchers who have completed doctoral degree to apply. The particular area of interest of this fellowship is West Africa. Special consideration will be given to research proposals of applicants from research institutions of Ghana, although candidates from any country in West Africa are also encouraged to apply. To apply, the applicant must submit a short research proposal (max. 1000 words) related to economics and governance of the bioeconomy.
