Economic Impact of Opt-in versus Opt-out Requirements for Personal Data Usage: The Case of Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

The DFG Research Training Group on "Digital Platform Ecosystems" invites all interested parties to the research talk by Prof. Dr. Bernd Skiera from Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Prof. Skiera is certainly one of the most distinguished and best-published marketing scientists in Germany, especially in the field of eCommerce https://www.marketing.uni-frankfurt.de/de/professoren/skiera/prof-dr-bernd-skiera.html . He is currently also investigating the economic impact of more privacy on the internet (e.g. cookie phase-out, ATT tracking) as part of an ERC-Advanced Grant, but also other aspects of the online economy (e.g. buy-now boxes on Amazon). His talk will focus on the economic impact of Apple’s app tracking transparency framework (ATT).
