Help! I'll miss the Orientation Weeks.
A good start makes all the difference! Attend the "Late Arrival Day"
During the orientation programme before the start of the lecture period, there are several virtual events and the webinar on how to organise your studies. There you will receive important information about the organisation of your studies, the structure of your degree course and the selection of courses. In many cases, you must register for courses before the start of lectures via the Stud.IP study organisation platform. Don't miss this opportunity to be well prepared for your studies: take part in the virtual courses, even if you can't be in Passau yet!
If you arrive late, we offer a compact orientation programme: On the "Late Arrival Day", 4 November 2024, we will support you with administrative matters, show you around the campus and answer any questions that you might still have after attending the virtual events during the Orientation Weeks. Registration is requested and possible from mid-October 2024!
Programme (summer semester 2024; update will be available some weeks before the event):
09:30 - 12:00 Meet & Greet with coffee and information session, Room: NN
12:00 - 14:00 Joined lunch at Mensa followed up by a Campus Rallye
14:00 - 16:00 Introduction to the IT services by the Center for Information Technology and Media Services (ZIM), Room: NN
16:00 - 17:00 Introduction of the faculties/ by the student commitees: questions regarding respective study programmes
If you have any questions, please, feel free to write to istudicoach@uni-passau.de (subject "Late Arrival Day").
Please make sure in consultation with the Registrar's Office and, if necessary, the degree program coordinator that a late start to your studies is possible and read the instructions carefully as to which administrative steps you must have completed by which date. The Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics (FIM) allows prospective Master's students to start their studies late up to 3 weeks after the start of lectures (1 November 2024) only in exceptional cases approved individually.
