Help! I'll miss the Orientation Weeks.

During the orientation program before the start of the lecture period, there are several virtual events. There you will receive important information about the organisation of your studies, the structure of your degree course and the selection of courses. In many cases, you must register for courses before the start of lectures via the Stud.IP study organisation platform. Don't miss this opportunity to be well prepared for your studies: take part in the virtual courses, even if you can't be in Passau yet!

If you arrive late, we offer a compact orientation programme: On the "Late Arrival Day", 6 May 2024, we will support you with administrative matters, show you around the campus and answer any questions that you might still have after attending the virtual events during the Orientation Weeks. Registration is requested and possible from mid-April 2024!

Programme:

09:30 - 12:00 Meet & Greet with coffee and information session, Place: ITZ 005
12:00 - 14:00 Joined lunch at Mensa followed up by a Campus Rallye
14:00 - 16:00 Introduction to the IT services by the Center for Information Technology and Media Services (ZIM), Place: JUR 057
16:00 - 17:00 Introduction of the FIM faculty, Place: ITZ 003, as well as the opportunity to ask  GeKu/SoBi faculty questions in their office (Place: NK 235) regarding respective study programme

Please make sure in consultation with the Registrar's Office and, if necessary, the degree program coordinator that a late start to your studies is possible and read the instructions carefully as to which administrative steps you must have completed by which date. The Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics (FIM) allows prospective Master's students to start their studies late up to 3 weeks after the start of lectures (3 May 2024) only in exceptional cases approved individually.
