The PYREC (Passau Young Researchers Excellence Centre) Excellence Programme supports high-achieving and dedicated doctoral candidates and postdocs on their academic career paths. It complements their academic training with targeted skills development and interdisciplinary networking.
The programme focuses on key competencies that are essential for successful careers in academia, industry, and society alike. These include leadership and teamwork, science communication, research management, network building, as well as personal and professional development.
Designed as a two-year programme, PYREC can be completed alongside a doctorate or postdoctoral appointment, complementing participants' research activities. As a PYREC Fellow, you benefit from exclusive training opportunities, networking events, excursions, and individual financial support for research- and travel-related activities. At the same time, the programme prepares you for future leadership roles both within and beyond academia.
