Outstanding early career researchers at the University of Passau are eligible to apply for the PYREC Excellence Programme if you
- have been admitted to a doctoral or habilitation programme at the University of Passau, or
- are employed as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Passau.
As the programme is conducted entirely in English, applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2 (CEFR).
How to apply
Admission to the PYREC Excellence Programme is possible via one of the following routes:
- nomination by the Vice Dean for Research of your faculty or by a member of the Research Board;
- direct application.
Please submit the following documents:
- academic CV
- letter of recommendation from your supervisor or the holder of the chair or professorship at which you are employed
- research statement (maximum one page)
- degree certificate(s)
- proof of admission to a doctoral or habilitation programme, or – for postdoctoral researchers – a copy of your employment contract with the University of Passau
Selection process
Please indicate in your application whether you would like the University of Passau's Equal Opportunities Officer for Women in Science and the Arts or the Inclusion Officer to participate in the selection process.
The selection process is expected to be completed in early September. All applicants will be informed of the outcome shortly thereafter.
The PYREC Excellence Programme begins in October.
