Support and Responsibility

What sets PYREC apart

PYREC combines professional development, academic exchange and personal responsibility.

The programme provides a framework for:

- actively shaping one’s own academic career
- taking on responsibility
- working in an interdisciplinary manner
- providing new impulses for academia and society.

Support

As a PYREC Fellow, you will benefit from:

- exclusive training sessions and workshops,
- an interdisciplinary network,
- excursions and networking events,
- personal financial support for research and travel,
- funding for self-organised events,
- a certificate upon successful completion of the programme.

Taking on responsibility

A key feature of PYREC is the active involvement in shaping the programme:

Whilst the first-year Fellows initially take part in the programme during the first half of the year, from the summer semester onwards – and later as Advanced Fellows – they take on increasing responsibility for:

- organising training sessions, events and networking opportunities
- supporting the new Fellows

In this way, you not only develop professional and personal skills, but also gain practical experience in project organisation, teamwork and academic leadership.
