Entrepreneurial thinking is now required in almost all professional and research fields: in companies, public institutions, and NGOs, as well as in academia and knowledge transfer. The Pathfinder programmes support participants in further developing their own ideas, better contextualising digital developments, and acquiring future‑oriented skills that are essential in an innovation‑driven world of work.
The Entrepreneurial Pathfinder is a two‑semester certificate programme (14 ECTS). It enables students to develop competencies at the intersection of entrepreneurship, digital trends, and entrepreneurial skills—regardless of their academic discipline or prior experience.
Within the programme, participants are supported in:
The Advanced Pathfinder builds on the regular programme and deepens participants’ experience through regional networking by taking part in an event organised by the GründungsHUB Ostbayern. These events usually take place at a partner higher‑education institution. Participants are responsible for organising and covering their own travel‑related expenses (e.g. public transport, rail travel, and, where applicable, accommodation).
Added value of the Advanced format:
additional insights into the regional start‑up and innovation ecosystem, exchange with relevant stakeholders, and new points of contact for projects, collaborations, or the development of a knowledge‑transfer idea.

Suitable courses offered by the University of Passau may be selected, provided they can be thematically assigned to one of the three pillars and meet the programme requirements.
If a course is not listed, a brief justification explaining how the course content relates to a specific pillar is sufficient. The programme team will review the request for recognition and provide feedback in a timely manner.
