The International Conference on Green India "Strategic knowledge for combating climatic change: Prospects & challenges" at Pondicherry University, Pondicherry - India, took place from 5th-7th December 2013. The conference was organized by the Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences at Pondicherry University. Its main focus was to explore technical, environmental, economic, financial and institutional challenges and opportunities for realizing climate-smart development at both international and national levels.
Shradha Shreejaya of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Pondicherry University represented the BioDIVA team at the conference. She held the presentation ‘What are likely influences of climate change on land use change, agrobiodiversity and livelihoods: A case study of Wayanad Agroecosystem in Kerala, India’.
