BioDIVA Team Leader Prof. Dr. Martina Padmanabhan was invited to hold a presentation on the project at the 10th Forum for Sustainability organised by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Leipzig on September 9th-11th, 2013.
While presenting the latest results in sustainable development research, the conference seeked to strengthen cooperation amongst the research community and discussed future funding priorities of the FONA Framework Programme. The first day focussed on Social-Ecological Research. The funding measures "Social Dimensions of Climate Change and Climate Protection", "Economics for Sustainability (Phase II)" and "Junior Research Groups (Phase II)" presented results from 42 research projects in four parallel workshops on following topics: "Governance", "Individual and Society", "Assessing Sustainability" and "Forms of Organisation, Institutional Change, and Innovation".
Prof. Dr. Martina Padmanabhan shared the experiences of the Junior Staff of BioDIVA in her presentation "Transformationswissen für eine nachhaltige und geschlechtergerechte Nutzung von Agrobiodiversität" hold at the workshop focussing on "Governance".
