During the defense meeting when asked by his supervisor Dr Nidhi Nagabhatla about two key learning's during the process; he stated that the main learning was to be able to use participatory research methods and to customize them to design a research outline that can appropriately contribute to the BioDIVA project objectives. Alongside he mentioned the research concept that showcases an approach to relate statistical findings with perceptions from the participatory research methods. Gaetaniello furthermore explained that the resolution of data could have been better. It would have been helpful to evaluate data on a monthly rather than on a seasonal level. The defense reports mentions Gaetaniello’s master thesis as an example that contributes to transdisciplinary knowledge – one of the key aims of BioDIVA project.
