3) Purpose and legal basis of the data processing

Your data will be processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with the terms and conditions of the event, exclusively for the purpose of conducting the Virtual Careers Day or the "Campus meets Company" careers fair.

The recipient of your personal data is the Centre for Careers and Competencies at the University of Passau, represented by its Head, Dr Alexandra Schick.

5) Transfer of personal data to a third country

The personal data will not be transferred to third countries.

6) Data retention period

The collected personal data will be stored for as long as is necessary to conduct the event. This includes the sending of information about upcoming careers events after the Virtual Careers Day or the "Campus meets Company" careers fair.

7) Rights of data subjects

If your personal data are processed, you have the right to receive information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR).

If incorrect personal data are processed, you have the right to have them corrected (Art. 16 GDPR).

If the legal requirements are met, you have the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and the right to object to the processing of your data (Art. 21 GDPR).

If you have consented to the processing of your data or entered into a data processing contract and the data processing is carried out using automated processes, you may have a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

If you make use of the above rights, the University of Passau will check whether the legal requirements are met.

8) Right of appeal to the supervisory authority

You also have the right to complain to the Bavarian state commissioner for data protection.
