GAIA magazine regularly features news and articles by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Humanökologie (DGH, german Society for Human Ecology). The conference on Trandsciplinarity and Sustainabilty in May 2012, organised by BioDIVA, drew from a wealth of expertise and hands-on experience. Together the status-quo of transdisciplinary research theory, experience from practitioners and the future role of transdisciplinary research in social and human ecology were examined.
