Invitation to the Winter School "Gender and Climate" from 09 to 12 Octobre, 2023
The Genderforum of the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg offers an interdisciplinary Winter School on "Gender and Climate" for all students. The event takes places from 09 to 12 October, 2023 in a hybrid setting and in English. Participation is free. The registration deadline is 31 August, 2023.
Climate change affects everyone, but are the effects the same for everyone or does the climate crisis exacerbate existing gender inequalities? Over three days, the Winter School invites you to explore the following topics: What are the connections between gender and climate? Which influence does climate change have on the health of all genders and what does all this have to do with environmental psychology? How do gender, climate change and the fashion industry affect each other? We will discuss these and other questions with scientists from the University of Würzburg and experts from other fields and disciplines.

Activities on campus
Repair your bike on campus between IM and ITZ
Two weeks ago, a bike repair toolbox was installed on campus to help you in any bike related emergency.
Thanks to the consistent engagement of the Green Student Group and in cooperation with the University's Facility Management, a suitable location was found for the toolbox to be set up by the University's craftsmen.
We are look forward to your feedback on the toolbox!
Tip of the month
Ride to the University:
Taking the bike to University is rewarding in three ways: you can test the new repair toolbox, stay fit and protect the climate. On average, you can save162 g of greenhouse gases per kilometre when taking your bike instead of your car (Source: UBA).
