The University of Passau has considered it its responsibility since its founding to actively support and advance sustainability in research, teaching, transfer, and education for sustainable development. Every year in June, the university, against this backdrop, awards prizes in the categories of "Research with Sustainability Reference" and "Sustainability Activities on Campus" as part of the "Sustainability Day." Each prize is endowed with 1,500 euros.
On behalf of the Representative of the University Leadership for Sustainability, Prof. Dr. Werner Gamerith, we would like to inform you that you can still submit proposals for the University of Passau Sustainability Award 2024 in the category "Sustainability Activities on Campus" until February 29. Green Metric Ranking: Among the Top 15 Percent Worldwide
With our sustainability initiatives, we continue to achieve significant success on the international stage. Following our entry into the GreenMetric Ranking in 2021 as the best new participant worldwide, we are performing excellently in 2023, remaining among the top 15 percent of international universities and colleges. In the new GreenMetric Ranking, the University of Passau ranks 134th out of a total of 1,183 participants. The university's ability to maintain such a strong position in the international elite is particularly remarkable, considering that the participating field has grown by an additional 13 percent compared to the previous year. It is also very gratifying that the overall score of the University of Passau has increased by 200 points to 8,180 points (out of a maximum of 10,000).
What you can do
Post-Its in the paper bin? Yes!
Do you also enjoy using post-its but are unsure whether they can go in the paper bin due to the adhesive?
Good news! The post-its procured through Kabuco's offerings can be safely disposed of in the paper bin. They can then be recycled to protect the climate and the environment. However, for other post-its, you should check beforehand whether this is possible.
