After the welcome speech by Dean Professor Dr. Jan-Oliver Decker, the habilitation certificate was first presented to PD Dr. Mirjam Leuzinger. Dr. des. Dietmar Jakob and Dr. des. Marc Rothballer then received their doctoral certificates.

This year, the faculty once again highlighted two special theses with the prize donated by Sparkasse Passau: Elisabeth Huber was honored for the best master's thesis in the Cultural Management/International Cultural and Business Studies program. Alicia Kunz received the prize for the best bachelor's thesis in the Cultural Management/International Cultural and Business Studies program. Both graduates were presented with their awards by Professor Dr. Karsten Fitz, together with the deputy chairman of Sparkasse Passau, Mr. Tobias Hofbauer.

This semester, the KuWi netzwerk international e.V. award for volunteer work went to Emily Klement. The speech by Anzhelika Davidian on behalf of KuWi netzwerk and the speech by Eliza Kapranova and Zoë Gebicke on behalf of the student council presented cheerful insights into university life in Passau with anecdotes from their time as students. During the rest of the ceremony, Professor Jan-Oliver Decker, with the support of Professor Marina Hertrampf, Professor Britta Kägler, and Professor Jens Späth, presented the bachelor's and master's degrees for the following programs:

Bachelor European Studies, Bachelor European Studies Major, Bachelor Historical Sciences, Bachelor Cultural Economics/International Cultural and Business Studies, Bachelor Media and Communication, Bachelor Language and Text Sciences, Master European Studies, Master Cultural Economics/International Cultural and Business Studies, Master Historical Sciences, and Master Text and Cultural Semiotics.

The three musicians Silvia Denk (flute), Lukas Musilek (electric piano), and Markus Schlesag (double bass) created a special atmosphere with a stylish repertoire of jazz pieces.

At the invitation of the President of the University of Passau, a reception for the guests was held in the foyer of the Audimax, while many students had their photos taken at the photo wall of the alumni club “Passau verbindet” at the end of the ceremony.
