Through this regular exchange, which is also planned to continue in the future, the University, the City and the District of Passau aim to work even more closely together. Points of contact as well as challenges are to be identified more quickly, and opportunities for joint action developed.

Several Indian students also took part in the meeting as representatives of the international student body. At present, Indian nationals constitute the second-largest group of international students, numbering 135, after Austria (143).

The University of Passau is committed to fostering a welcoming and open environment for international students and researchers, which is also intended to be reflected in the city and district "The exchange was very encouraging, as the Indian students spoke very positively about the work of our International Office in supporting their arrival and integration in Passau. In line with the Welcoming University strategy initiated by President Bartosch, we aim to further strengthen this culture of welcome in the future by networking students even more closely with the local economy and the city community", says Vice President Schumann.
