Professor Dr Christina Hansen, Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity, represented the University Executive. In her speech, she paid tribute to the outstanding assessments of graduate Phoebe Wolf, who received the ‘Studying-as-a-parent award’.
Dean Professor Dr Maximilian Sailer and the Director of the State Education Authority for the City and District of Passau, Mr Klaus Sterner, also addressed the graduates, congratulating them warmly in their respective speeches. At the same time, they emphasised the importance of their future role as teachers. They underlined their responsibility for the education and development of young people and encouraged the graduates to take on their new challenges with commitment and enthusiasm.
Student representatives Tobias Moser and Johanna Bretschneider provided humorous moments and recalled the ups and downs of studying on the Passau campus.
With the support of Professor Markus Pissarek, spokesperson for the Teacher Education Centre (ZLF), Mr Klaus Sterner and Professor Christina Hansen, Dean Sailer congratulated the graduates on behalf of the University.
Jutta Walkowiak provided musical backdrop for the event on the piano and with vocals.
After the ceremony, the University of Passau hosted a reception in the foyer of the Audimax Building. The University's alumni club offered graduates an excellent opportunity to network and make valuable contacts for their professional future.
