We are pleased to present the University of Passau's first comprehensive Climate Action Plan! This plan sets our climate goals through 2040 and outlines specific measures to achieve them in the coming years. The plan includes a detailed greenhouse gas inventory showing the current state of emissions at the University of Passau and highlights potential areas for emission reduction, such as energy and mobility. To pave the way toward greenhouse gas neutrality, 42 targeted measures have been identified to reduce the emissions and environmental impact of university operations. Throughout the development process, all relevant university stakeholders had the opportunity to actively participate in workshops and discussion formats. The contributions of numerous students and staff were invaluable, especially during the identification of effective measures.
At the upcoming Sustainability Round Table on 20 November 2024, you will have the opportunity to learn about the Climate Action Plan firsthand. In addition to an overview of its content, there will be time for questions about both the details and the development process. The event is open to all interested parties, and the Sustainability Hub looks forward to welcoming you.
