Safety First: Be careful around work vehicles on campus
Depending on the weather, work vehicles, possibly equipped with snowploughs, will be in use on the university campus again in the coming days and weeks.
Due to the size of the vehicles and the drivers’ partially obstructed view, dangerous situations can arise – especially when visibility is limited, e.g. before sunrise or after sunset.
Stay safe by adhering to these tips:
- Keep a sufficient distance from all vehicles.
- Do not enter cordoned-off areas.
- Expect vehicles to turn and reverse direction suddenly and without warning.
- Keep to the marked footpaths and pay attention to warning signals.
- Be particularly careful at dusk, in the dark and when visibility is limited and pay attention to visual and acoustic warning signals.
Thank you for being careful, and stay safe!
