In the latest ranking by manager magazin, the University of Passau has achieved a strong 12th place – and thus once again ranks among Germany's best universities for future auditors.
The study, based on surveys of 80 auditing firms and 732 companies, confirms the consistently high placement in the ranking since 2020.
Particularly noteworthy: Among the top 20, Passau is one of very few medium-sized public universities in a field dominated by large universities and private higher education institutions.

In a recent ranking by manager magazin, the University of Passau achieved an excellent 14th place and thus continues to be among the leading universities in the auditing field in 2024–25.
The ranking of “Germany’s best higher education institutions for auditing” is updated every two years by manager magazin. The University of Passau has consistently maintained its strong position among German universities since the ranking first appeared in April 2020. For the ranking, 81 auditing firms and 1,396 of their clients were surveyed.

In the "Germany's best universities for auditors” ranking, manager magazin lists the University of Passau in 12th place and at the same time awards it the rating "very good".
The University of Passau is one of Germany’s top universities for aspiring auditors.
In the "Germany's best auditors 2020–21" ranking by manager magazin and Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung (WGMB), the University places in the "very good" category of institutions that train future auditors.
In a nationwide survey of auditing firms, it ranks ninth.

The higher education study identifies the best chairs for the subject of auditing at German universities. These are selected and evaluated by more than 80 auditing firms and approx. 1,700 clients.
All chairs listed in the most recent edition of the Auditors' Chamber study guide are eligible for evaluation. Additional higher education institutions could also be freely added.
