Training Courses

It is essential that early career researchers understand the principles and methodologies underpinning research data management and develop the competencies needed for the proper handling of data. The University will systematically expand its offering of training courses delivered through its central facilities and services.

  • As part of its training programme for doctoral students, the University Library is offering a research data management module. The course always takes place in the summer semester.
  • As part of the international Love Data Week 2026, the training course ‘The Life of a Researcher: FDM Basics für Forschende’ (Stud. IP 72005 W) will take place on Thursday, 12 February 2026, to which scientists and students are cordially invited.

Furthermore, you can find information on online training programmes on the website of the
Forschungsdatenmanagement Bayern initiative [content in German]. There you will also find video tutorials on research data management and data management plans [content in German].

We will keep you informed about further training courses on this page.
