Residence permit applications: document pre-checking service on 23 January
The International Support Services Section offers a document pre-checking and forwarding service for your residence permit applications (for both first-time applications and extensions). Students from non-European-Union countries must have a valid residence permit to legally reside in Germany. We highly recommend that you take advantage of this offer.
The next pre-check will take place on 23 January. From now on, the checks will take place on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 15:00 in ITZ 005. During the semester break, the pre-checks will only take place every two weeks until the end of March.
Please register for an individual consultation from Luise Haack's Stud.IP profile. There you will also find an overview of the next dates as well as the necessary documents and forms. Although the processing times have improved, we strongly recommend starting the application process at least six weeks before your visa or residence permit expires.
