Online application and required documents

Important: Application procedure for studying abroad is now digital only!

Applications must be submitted online via MoveON:

Please complete the online form under “My Application” in full and submit the data online.
The system will then generate a PDF document, which you must sign (a digital signature is also possible) and send as a PDF to bewerbung.auslandsstudium@uni-passau.de.
All additional application documents (such as your CV or letter of motivation) can then be uploaded to MoveON and do not need to be sent separately by email.

Important: You can only submit one application per academic year (winter semester and subsequent summer semester) for European (Erasmus+) and one application for non-European partner universities (each with up to three desired higher education institutions). Please only apply to partner universities with the same application deadline – do not mix partner universities with different application deadlines in with your preferred higher education institutions! When you accept a confirmation from us for a partner university, the applications for the other higher education institutions are cancelled automatically.

In some cases, proof of successfully completed language tests is already required when applying for studies abroad.

Do I have to provide proof of language proficiency even if I had the language of my host country at school?
No. To apply for a place at a partner university, a school leaving certificate, for example, is sufficient. Please note, however, that you may have to submit relevant documents directly to a partner university when you register.

For example, if I apply for a partner university in Finland where the language of instruction is English, which language do I have to prove?
Include your English credits with your application and write your CV and cover letter in English. If you are fluent in the languages of the host countries, please also include the relevant certificates.
