Residence permit applications: document pre-checking service
The International Support Services Section offers a document pre-checking and forwarding service for your residence permit applications (for both first-time applications and extensions). Students from non-European-Union countries must have a valid residence permit to legally reside in Germany. We highly recommend that you take advantage of this offer.
The next pre-check is scheduled for 9 April from 13:00 to 16:00 at ITZ 005. After that, checks will be taking place once weekly on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 15:00 at ITZ 005. Please register for an individual consultation on Luise Haack's Stud.IP profile. Here you will find details on the necessary documents and forms as well as the dates. Although the processing times have improved, we strongly recommend starting the application process at least six to eight weeks before your visa or residence permit expires.
