Intercultural Competence: Germany German culture is explained via different methods: pictures, cases, models, values, videos, etc. The Iceberg Model helps participants to differentiate between the visible (e.g. organized fun) and the invisible aspects of German culture (e.g. cultural norms like “Nur bei Grün – den Kindern ein Vorbild”). We will experiment with the change of perspectives with case studies and videos and reflect selected German cultural standards, such as “objective professionalism”, “the differentiation between private and working spheres” and “direct communication styles”. This discourse includes the reflection on how the values of equality and honesty show in everyday life communication and behavioral patterns. Students learn deductively with different experiments and via reflection. The workshop will be held in English. Registration via Stud.IP: 61093 W Friday. 05.05.23 10:00 - 18:00 | ZKK |

How can I get in touch with my fellow students? What can I do to meet people from Passau? A good social network can help you with a variety of issues, as for example day-to-day problems. They also can be very helpful when it comes to looking for a job or an internship. A good way to build such a social network and gain useful skills at the same time is volunteering.
Programme for the winter semester will be updated soon.
