Programme advisers are typically lecturers or other academic members of staff of the respective chairs. You should contact your programme adviser if you are at an advanced stage of your degree programme and need advice on switching to another discipline or programme, changing to another university or after failing an examination.
Moreover, the programme advisers can help you when it comes to choosing specialisations/focus options in your degree programme, particularly for postgraduate programmes.

Advisers for foreign languages taught at the Language Centre
In addition to programme advisers, every faculty has a Dean of Studies. As representatives for teaching and studies, they monitor the quality of the study conditions.
They ensure that the programmes offered are in line with the study and examination regulations, that the degree programmes can be successfully completed within the standard period of study and that students receive adequate support.
