In its target agreements with the Bavarian Ministry of Science, Research and Art, the University of Passau has committed itself to moving from programme accreditation to system accreditation in order to provide its students with the highest possible standards of quality assurance for its degree programmes. In doing so, the university has taken on the considerable task of evaluating the many interconnected academic and administrative processes in the area of studies and teaching, while continuously reviewing and challenging its understanding of what constitutes high-quality conditions for study and teaching.
