The "Trilateral Workshop on Academic Cybersecurity Practice" organised by BAYHOST, Bayrisch-Tschechische Hochschulagentur, Digitalverbund Bayern and supported by the Centre for IT Security of the University of Passau (https://www.uni-passau.de/en/itsec-centre) will gather representatives from universities in Bavaria, Poland, and Czechia in Passau. The invited experts will exchange experiences and best practices in IT security management within higher education institutions. The event will contain an executive briefing providing valuable insights for improving future cybersecurity measures. The workshop will feature a roundtable discussion on IT security governance, focusing on common challenges and potential solutions, as well as opportunities for collaboration between universities to strengthen cybersecurity. Further the participants will delve into future developments regarding cybersecurity regulations for universities, anticipating upcoming changes and their impact. Additionally, there will be a presentation on expected legal requirements at the European level, providing a glimpse into how regulations will evolve and affect academic institutions' cybersecurity efforts.
