What is it about?

On the initiative of the non-profit association “Gemeinsam leben und lernen in Europa e.V.” (Living and Learning Together in Europe), you will visit senior citizens in Passau retirement homes together with other students and, in some cases, schoolchildren. You should enjoy spending time with older people who may no longer be as physically and mentally fit as they once were, but who nevertheless greatly appreciate visits from young people, even if they are sometimes unable to express or show it.

What do I need to do?

  • Selecting suitable games
  • Researching recipes and purchasing ingredients
  • Coordinating joint games, cooking, and baking activities
  • Maintaining communication with those responsible at the retirement home
  • Designing advertising, public relations, and social media
  • Actively participating in games, cooking, and baking
