A concurrent degree programme is when you take up a second degree programme while you are enrolled on a first degree programme. Upon successfully completing your studies, you will receive two individual degrees. Depending on your choice of degree programme, this could be, for instance, two Bachelor's degrees or a Bachelor's degree and a State Examination.
An application for concurrent degree programmes can only be submitted for the following semester (i.e. it cannot be applied for retroactively); at the earliest when you re-register for the following semester and at the latest before the start of the relevant semester (see academic calendar).
Application form for concurrent study of two degree programmes
If you take up a second degree programme and you have the required qualification (general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification), you only need to fill in and submit the application form for concurrent study of two degree programmes.
Please note that for the degree programmes B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence and B.Sc. Mathematics, English language skills at level B2 CEFR must be demonstrated.
You can also study two Master's degree programmes simultaneously. To do this, you must first apply for and be admitted to the second degree programme (please note the application deadlines). Once this has been done, you can submit the application form for concurrent study of two degree programmes.
In order to discuss the organisational aspects of doing two degrees programmes simultaneously (e.g. credit transfers and placement in a higher subject semester, choice of subjects), we strongly recommend that you contact an adviser before starting a second degree programme.
