At the Passau-based association “Gemeinsam Leben und Lernen in Europa e.V.” (GLL)
GLL is a non-profit organization in Passau that promotes better social cohesion and organizes encounters between people from all walks of life. The association and the university group work together on projects that promote tolerance, diversity, and equal opportunities.
It is also possible to participate in other projects run by the association.
- In order for your work in the non-profit association to be recognized as an internship in the field of “service learning", the time commitment should be approximately 150 hours for a one-month internship, approximately 300 hours for a two-month internship, and approximately 450 hours for a three-month internship. In consultation with the association, you can spread the hours over a maximum total period of two semesters.
- The duration of the service learning must be verified by a confirmation from the association and the AYCD program (AYCD Pass).
- In any case, you must submit a report of the same length as the regular internship report, in which you reflect on your findings and experiences in accordance with current scientific standards.
- If you would like to have your service learning recognized as part of your degree program, please contact the program coordinator at GeKuF or SoBiF in advance to discuss the possibilities and implementation of recognition.
- Important note: AYCD acts solely as a “placement agency” and does NOT award ECTS credits, but only a volunteer certificate. The AYCD kick-off and final events can be counted toward the required number of hours.
