Repair instead of throwing away—that is the motto of the self-help workshop.
At the Repair Café, volunteer tinkerers and hobbyists use their expertise, the right tools, and a lot of optimism to help repair broken (electrical) appliances and textiles.
The self-help workshop promotes sustainable self-help and consciously takes a stand against the throwaway mentality. The focus is on having fun repairing things together.
Are you interested in crafts or do you enjoy tinkering and doing DIY projects?
The DIY workshop is looking for dedicated repairers to help visitors fix their broken devices and items.
Knowledge of repairing electrical appliances, hardware, software, bicycles, or sewing is helpful—but even without prior experience, you can get involved, because repairs are done as a team. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and make local contacts.
